NMDA, or NetWorker Module for Databases and Applications, must be installed on the Hyper-V hosts in order to back up the hosted Virtual Machines. NMDA is a specialized NetWorker client that provides support for databases and applications such as Microsoft Exchange, Hyper-V, and Oracle.

NetWorker does not directly support the backup of mount points on Linux systems. To back up the data on the mount points, the remote systems must be added as a client to the NetWorker server and included in the backup.

The rap log on a NetWorker server is used to audit recent resource changes, and if the file is empty, it is likely because the Monitor RAP attribute on the NetWorker server is disabled. This attribute must be enabled in order for the rap log to be updated. The other options are not related to the cause of the issue.
