The number of replicas should be sufficient to accommodate the expected traffic and handle potential node failures. Use a load balancer to distribute traffic: A load balancer acts as a central point for incoming traffic and distributes it across the different instances of the application. This provides a single point of access and load balancing capabilities. By using a load balancer, you ensure that traffic is directed to healthy instances, even if some nodes are unavailable. Configure a pod disruption budget (PDB): A PDB is a Kubernetes resource that prevents a large number of pods from being deleted simultaneousl . This is im ortant for ensurin that thea lication remains available even if a node is undergoing maintenance or fails. By configuring a PDB, you specify a minimum number of pods that must be running for the deployment, preventing sudden disruptions due to node failures or updates. These configurations work together to ensure high availability for the application, even in the face of node failures. Note that using persistent volumes is not strictly necessary for high availability in a stateless application. Stateless applications do not store data persistently, so data loss on a single node does not affect the application's availability.

The most secure and recommended approaches for managing environment variables in AWS Lambda are to use AWS Secrets Manager (B) and AWS Parameter Store (D). Secrets Manager is specifically designed for storing and retrieving sensitive data like API keys, passwords, and other confidential information. Parameter Store allows you to manage configuration parameters, including environment variables, in a centralized and hierarchical manner. Storing environment variables directly in the code (A) is insecure. Configuring them in the Lambda console (C) is not suitable for managing sensitive data. Storing them in a separate file (E) is less secure and less manageable.

You need to ensure that HPAs are not competing for resources across namespaces- Resource quotas (C) limit resource consumption within each namespace, preventing HPAs from consuming resources intended for other applications. A custom controller (D) can be used to manage HPAs across multiple namespaces, coordinating scaling decisions to avoid resource contention and optimize utilization across the cluster. While options A and B might seem relevant, they are not effective solutions for preventing interference between HPAs in different namespaces. Option E is incorrect; HPAs operate within their namespaces, but resource contention can occur if not managed properly.
